On these pages, you will find my Lord of the Rings fan fiction, Shards, along with illustrations that are intended to enhance the reader's experience.

I find Tolkien's world one of the most fascinating creations I have experienced in the field of literature. I like to borrow some of his characters and play with them now and then, returning them unharmed. (mostly!)

Please note: If you arrived without coming through the front portal of this site that it will contain from time to time graphic descriptions and illustrations of sexual situations, ranging from mere partial nudity to graphic heterosexual and homoerotic sexual acts, and more. The theme of Shards is primarily heterosexual, but will have same sex liaisons also as the story progresses. This story is rated NC-17, over 18 years old only.

That having been said, the main purpose of the story lies merely in the telling of a good yarn. There's hot sex in life, so there is in my story as well! If you are offended by any of the above, leave now. I can't make it any plainer!

If, however, you like a plot-driven story with angst, drama, emotion, humor, adventure, romance, longing, fulfillment, destiny, the Valar, the elves (especially Elrond), and a strong original female character with her own weaknesses, then sit back and have a nice stay.

Shards is AU, which stands for Alternate Universe, meaning I can make up reality as I go along. Think "A bit of Fantasy Sci-Fi thrown in to complicate and deepen the plot". You will find I stick very close to Tolkien's canon (what he said and wrote about Middle Earth) combined with Peter Jackson's vision of Middle Earth. You will find me tweaking a few small things here and there and one or two rather purposeful changes of canon, fully justified by the plot.

I do not claim to be the best writer on planet earth, But I do think I can spin a good yarn now and then.
